The Attack on Pearl Harbor was a surprise attack by the Japanese Navy Air Service. They choose Pearl Harbor because they had known that a large sum of Americas naval ships were kept there. 18 ships were sunk, this included 5 battleships. Along with the loss of ships, 2,403 American died during this attack and 1,178 were wounded. This attack is what brought the US into the war.Added to timeline:
