Description:

During this truce, Bernadotte was assassinated by Lehi. There were still pockets of fighting even though the truce had been announced.

The truce ended on 15th October, having been broken by the Israelis. After this, the Israelis gained land.

By December 1948, the Israeli forces had grown to 108,000 which was double the Arab forces.
