In 1941 Japanese airplanes made a surprise attack on the US Navy Base on Pearl Harbor. The attack killed 2,403 people, wounded 1,178 more and sunk the USS Arizona ship. Before the attack the Americans had tried to avoid getting involved in the war, but this attack forced America to join WWII.Added to timeline:
