Description:

On March 6, 1951, Ethel and Julius Rosenberg went to trial because they were accused of selling nuclear secrets to the Russians. It was believed that the Soviets were able to explode their first atomic bomb in September 1949 because of information that the Rosenbergs provided. The trial lasted 4 months and ended on April 4. The Rosenbergs were sentenced to death row on April 6. On June 19, 1953, Ethel and Julius were executed.
