Over 500,000 people attended the Woodstock Festival that was held August 15, 1969 - August 18, 1969. Some of the best musical acts of the era played at Woodstock, including Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Santana, and more. The cost to attend was $6.50 per day and $18 for all three days. Despite the huge amount of people, only two people died--one from drug overdose and one from sleeping in a sleeping bag under a tractor.
