ALF is a leaderless resistance group that was created to get direct action and relentless success for animal rights. Critics consider them to be terrorists and they will go far with the actions they carry out. However, they claim to be nonviolent so they defend against the idea of being terrorists. A few actions they engage in are "removing animals from laboratories and farms, destroying facilities, arranging safe houses and veterinary care, and operating sanctuaries where the animals subsequently live."Added to timeline:
