jan 1, 1930 - Thomas Hunt Morgan, Ronald Fisher, JBS Haldane and others. (1930s)
Description:
All of these Mendelists had a hand in discovering that natural selection could act on genes. It became clear that any given trait was usually the product of many genes, rather than a single one. They discovered the concept of a mutation. Many of these scientists carried out breeding experiments and built sophisticated mathematical models of evolution to show how natural selection could operate in a Mendelian world.
