Description:
In 1827 railroads were the way of transportation to the West. They also expanded the United States because they brought settlements to the Pacific Ocean. Railroads lead to the Civil War because the Southern railroads were in bad shape and the Southerners did not care much about their railroads, which made the Northerners angry because they believed the railroads helped get cotton to the ports.Added to timeline:
