sep 1, 1692 - The Salem Witch Trials

Description:

The Salem Witch Trials began during the fall of 1692 and ended in 1693 in the settlement of Salem, Massachusetts. They began when a group of young girls started accusing women of bewitching them. From there, the trials became more intense and countless numbers of people were accused and hanged for witchcraft. These trials had a very chaotic effect on life in Salem because it seemed as though anyone could be a victim. Today, the Salem Witch Trials remain a great example to us of people in history that were harmed by vengeance. They remind us to think twice before accusing others.
