Description:
5000 blacks gathered outside police station, asking to be arrested. Their leader, Nyakane Tsolo was taken, which caused the crowd to surge forward. Police opened fire with machine guns, rifles, and revolvers. They fired one round into the front line of protesters and then another at those running away, many were shot in the back. At least 69 died, around 187 injured
