IN 1977 JVC created VHS players and VHS tapes which allowed people to watch movies at home. At the same time Sony Made Betamax Which was very similar. Sony's betamax showed better quality images but they were a lot larger, a lot more expensive and the tapes couldn't store as much. So in the end JVC one the war and VHS stayed whilst Betamax quickly died. The first ever VHS tape was the sound of music. Soon VHS became extremely popular and stayed like that for 30 years.Added to timeline:
