Description:
A cultural center in Micronesia that was constructed on small islets off the eastern shore of Pohnpei Island. It is approximately 1.5 kms long by 0.5 kms wide. It housed the elite ruling caste of the Saudeleur Dynasty and united the clans of Pohnpei. Most of the island was made for residential use but some places had special uses like a storehouse, a temple, etc. All supplies had to be brought from the mainland and the city started out with a population of 1000 which eventually grew to a population of 25000, with the majority of the population being slaves. It was made of basalt boulders and had prismatic columns.
