Description:
In the UK TV was becoming increasingly popular. At that point TV was only in black and white. Then the BBC decided it was time to switch to color. So in 1967 BBC 2 switched to being a color channel. It would feature 4 hours of color broadcasting a week. After a year it rose to 10 hours of color broadcasting a week. In 1969 the other two channel ITV and BBC 1 also switched to color.
