feb 14, 1903 - Elkins Act

Description:

These 2 pieces of legislation strengthened the Interstate Commerce Act of 1887 and the Sherman Anti-Trust Act of 1890. The Elkins Act stiffened the penalties against railroad rebates to shippers by imposing heavy fines on railroad's and shippers who accepted these rebates.
