sep 15, 1963 - Bombing of a church in Birmingham
Description:
The 16th Street Baptist Church had been a significant religious center for the city’s black population and a meeting place for civil rights organizers such as MLK. On Sunday, before the church service, the White supremacists had called in bombs to disrupt the church service and meetings.
