In my sophomore year of college I took RDG 4320 (Language and Literacy in Diverse Communities) with Dr. Maneka Brooks. This class was one of my favorite classes, because the readings, though academic, were also very interesting and easy to read. I never thought that there was academic reading that was easy to read and interesting. I usually hate reading for classes, but the readings she chose were definitely engaging and made me want to read more. (Also it's not creepy I used a photo of her because we're really good friends now lol)
