This research affects the government as a stakeholder, because they must make a decision as to whether to allow gene manipulation in the United States, because up until now it has only been attempted in China. Most of the government is apart of the view-point that is against gene manipulation, because they would have to be taking risks and potentially getting blamed for failed trials of this task.
