A British force attacked luisbourg as the French had not changed the defensive arrangement from the past. The British successfully recaptured luisbourg. However the British never wanted to give luisbourg back to the French so they destroyed the entire fortress, only a pile of rubble remained. After this Britain started taking over.Added to timeline:
