apr 11, 1967 - Eisenhower Sends in Federal Troops

Description:

Tensions were rising in Arkansas and Eisenhower knew that something needed to be done. So, he placed the Arkansas National Guard under his federal control. He sent 1,000 Army paratroopers to help in maintaining and restoring order in Little Rock. The African American students were then able to be enrolled in school.
