dec 9, 1952 - Brown v Board of Education

Description:

African American minors, denied admittance to public school on account of their race, argued that the segregation of public schools violates the 14th amendment. The court ruled that segregation of public schools did violate the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment. The most well known aspect of this ruling is the statement that “separate but equal” facilities are unequal and give whites an unfair advantage.
