Description:
The Civil Rights Act of 1964 passed on July 2nd 1964 outlawed discrimination based on race, religion, color, etc. in public places. This Act was monumental in achieving equality for minorities and people that were being treated poorly based on the way they looked or who they associated themselves with. In subsequent years, Lyndon John passed an extension onto the Act which included the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
