John F. Kennedy and his wife, who rarely traveled with him on events like this, went through the streets of Dallas until three shots were fired. On November 22nd, 1963 president John F. Kennedy was assassinated driving through Dallas, Texas in an open top convertible. The assassination of president JFK was absolutely shocking to the entire nation and completely left everyone distraught because he was such a likeable president, doing so much good for the country as a whole. President Johnson was sworn into office the next day and had to deal with the burden of a tumultuous time with the problem of civils right at a forefront.
