nov 17, 1961 - Albany Georgia "Failure"
Description:
It was a desegregation and voters rights movement formed in Albany. Many local African American leaders, as well as members of the organizations such as the SNCC and the NAACP, were important in founding it. Later, MLK and members of the SCLC joined. There were disagreements and tension within the movement, and because of that they didn't achieve many of their goals. However, it was ultimately helpful in the civil rights movement as a whole.
