The 'Sickle cut' Movement attacked from Luxemburg, through the Ardennes forest. The German Wehrmacht concentrated stronger panzer movements in the South, with lighter attacks in the north.Blitzkrieg tactics of fast offensives with close coordination was far superior to that of the allies.
- Authorities where based in Paris, communications relied on runners and orders for offensives where timely. This meant that after German attack, reordination became much more difficult. German forces relied on radios to stay connected
