Description:

For three years masked vigilantes fight super powered villains. While popular with many, reckless destruction and chaos from these super powered fights causes public unrest.

The term Epics became widely popular as a descriptor of super powered people. Because of this the term Epic Humans became a legal definition for people with super powers. Eventually this legal definition would change to Epic People as governments realilzed the existence of non human sentience with powers such as other worldly entities and super intelligent animals.

The Epic Accords:
Many dislike the lack of accountability with super heroes and how they function outside the law. The UN passes sweeping resolutions to restrict Epic Humans and keep track of them.
-Epics are to be registered and tagged with Geo locators.
-Formation of OES (Office of Epic Security) within Interpol
-Prohibition from having Epics serve in Military or Espionage capacity.
-Construction of Epic Prisons under OES

Several countries crack down on Epics even harder and some Epics fight back and eventually carve out their own nations such as New Mayab.

In the USA Epics are required to register with the Federal government and are restricted on using their powers in public and sometimes private dependant on their power level.

Government agencies which use Epics start to form such as the FEB (Federal Epic Bureau) in the US.
