Description:

SCLC stands for Southern Christian Leadership Conference. It was founded on January 10th 1957 in Atlanta, Georgia. Martin Luther King Jr. was chosen as the first president for the SCLC. The main purpose of this group was to gain equal rights for blacks, it was a civil rights organization.
