"On March 17th, 1999, the STARLIGHT ARRAY was set up at around the perimeter of the Diamond Site anomaly field. However, just moments before the array was set to fire, STARKILL biomass emerged from the ground beneath the platforms, destroying each of the 7 DEWs. HYPERLIGHTBRINGER operatives managed to incinerate some of the biomass, but in doing so, more biomass appeared from beneath the ground, causing greater losses to HOME personnel. At the Foxtrot Platform, the furthest platform away from the anomaly perimeter, operatives were able to dispatch minor Diamond Site biomass and retrieve samples. Aerial bomber jets were then used to terminate the biomass surrounding the main anomaly field. Hazard team casualties numbered 156. Following this event, HOME teams retreated to further analyze the situation and develop a strategic retaliation."
