Description:
After the failed counterattack that was the "battle of the bulge", German forces were encircled by the allies. The Soviets in the east and Americans/English in the west closed in on Berlin, where Hitler committed suicide on April 30th. The Germans signed a total and unconditional surrender on may 7th, 1945, which was made effective the following day.
