MLK's house in Montgomery, Alabama was bombed because he accepted the Montgomery Improvement Association Presidency after Rosa Parks got arrested. The racist whites were against MLK because of their opposition to equal rights. While he was at a meeting discussing bus boycotts, someone planted bombs on his front porch. Fortunately, his wife and 10 week old daughter were left uninjured. Many black people were armed and ready to act, but MLK told them to remain calm and to be nonviolent.
