Description:
Medgar Evers was a leader in the civil rights movement and spent a lot of his time volunteering with the US Army. He was shot in his home in Mississippi by white supremacist Byron De La Beckwith, who was set free due to the all white jury. 30 years later the trial was reopened and Byron was found guilty of murder and was then sentenced to life in prison.
