Description:

"RUNNING SPRINGS -- A headless and partially dismembered body was found in a plastic bag along Highway 330 near here Friday afternoon [9/14/79]. [...] The bag was visible from the roadway and although the body was decomposed, it probably had not been there more than a day, detectives said" (SBCS 9/15/79).

"Officers believe the young man was killed two to five days before his body was found Friday [9/14/79]. The head and body parts were 'probably' in the trash bin two days before they were discovered" (SBCS 9/17/79).
