Description:

Irish partition happened in 1925, boundary committee formed to establish it, supposedly to respect the wants of the people, but in reality the process was messy, delayed many times, and the border has since shifted. This is similar to what the British did with India and Pakistan years later, however due to factors such as Britain's wish to leave as soon as possible, the much larger size of India, and the location being further away, India and Pakistan ended much bloodier.
