Alliance between Soviet Union and China.

China asked for:
- Promise of assistance if under attack
- A loan of $300 million to give China the funding it needed to begin modernising its economy, and some guarantees for its safety.
-10,000 economic advisers, paid by China, were given to China by the Soviet Union. These advisers helped establish the first Five Year Plan.
- In return, China gave some economic concessions to the Soviet Union.
