jan 1, 1739 - Stono Rebellion (1739): A small group of new enslaved people marched along the Stono River in South Carolina, gaining numbers until they had about 100 people. They killed any white person they saw, burned houses and barns, but were defeated pretty quickly by the South Carolina military
