"Robert Wyatt Loggins Jr [...] left a bunch of his Marine buddies who were enjoying a weekend leave. He intended to spend the night on the beach" (Last Ride, Ch.7).

"Found in a plastic trash bag in El Toro Aug. [sic] 3 [1980]. [...] Loggins had been absent without leave from the Tustin Marine Corps Air Station a week before the body was found by two boys" (LAT 9/9/80).

"Found Sept. 3, 1980, on El Toro residential street. Body wrapped in clear plastic inside green bag. Rope around neck. [...] Last seen alive in Huntington Beach" (1987 Full).

"Found Sept. 3, 1980, in a trash bag, nude, on a dead-end street in El Toro. He had a large tattoo on his arm and was last seen with friends near the Huntington Beach Pier" (1988 Scorecard).
