Description:
"A couple on a sight-seeing trip discovered a dead body Monday evening [2/18/80] dumped off the Old Ridge Route about two-tenths of a mile south of Templin Highway. Sheriff's deputies said the body, lacking legs, arms, and head, was wrapped in a sheet. A head in a plastic bag was nearby" (SCS 2/20/80).
"Found Feb. 18, 1980 at Templin Highway and Interstate 5 near Castaic in Los Angeles County. He had indicated to fellow Marines that he was on his way to Buena Park. He was a known hitchhiker. The head and hands had been severed. A large object had been stuffed into a body cavity. Cause of death undetermined" (1988 Scorecard).
