"Crosby was last seen Sept. 28 [1978] about 4pm when he left home to go to a movie. They said he telephoned his aunt about six hours later to say he was on his way home, but never showed up" (SBCS 10/8/78).

"Mr Crosby disappeared Sept. 28 when he was apparently hitchhiking home from a movie theater in Torrance. He was last heard from about 10pm that night" (CVN 10/11/78).
