Description:

"March 30, 1975 -- Keith Daven Crotwell last seen driving away from Belmont Plaza parking lot in Long Beach with older man in a white Mustang [...] after Crotwell's friend, Kent May is pushed out of the car in a drunken state" (LAT 3/15/87).

"Crotwell and some of his friends [including Kent May] went to Big John's, a Long Beach pool hall and game arcade, to hang out on Saturday night, March 29, 1975. [...] Sometime after midnight, May was sitting in the parking lot drinking and talking to Crotwell when a man [...] walked up and tried to join their conversation. In court testimony years later, May identified the man as Randy Kraft. [...] They got onto a freeway, went someplace in Seal Beach, maybe stopped in a parking lot, May testified. The next thing May realized, he was in his bed at home. It was early Sunday afternoon. Witnesses later told police they had seen a driver push an intoxicated May out of the car and drive off with Crotwell in the front seat" (Last Ride, Ch.4).
