"Found slain Monday [July 30, 1973] in Seal Beach [...] Found at 6:30am near the Seventh Street on-ramp of the San Diego Freeway" (TDB 7/30/73, 7/31/73).

"July 30, 1973, the body of Ronnie Wiebe was found in the ice plant off the Seventh Street exit from the 605 Freeway. [...] Wiebe was last seen alive when he left the Sportsman Bar in Los Alamitos at 1:45am, en route to the parking lot. He never made it to his car" (LBPT 6/8/75 pt 2).

"He left a neighborhood bar in Los Alamitos where he was a regular at 1:45am on the morning of July 28, 1973. Police believe he attempted to hitch a ride after discovering his car wouldn't start. He had been death two days when his body was found" (Last Ride, Ch.3).
