jun 29, 1767 - Townshend Acts

Description:

A slight import tax on several British goods including lead, glass, paper, paint and tea. The colonists revived the effective strategy of boycotts that had been used in 1765 to fight the stamp tax. By this time it did not matter that the tax was small, it was the principle.
