Peter Tench, from 67 days ago, finds his friends missing. After a bit of walking, Peter discovers a large room with shelfs, and a gooey junk. He then discovers a dark room with forest wallpaper, and stracthed objects. He then finds a path to the Lateral Division.

ASYNC administered a presentation with US Secretary of Energy, James D. Watkins, and the DOE. After the presentation, researchers shows Watkins, and the DOE to the Lateral Division, with the diorama also. ASYNC administered another meeting for the contract negotiation, but was interrupted by an activated alarm in the outpost. Peter had stumbled across the outpost, and enters.

Clyde, a supervisor, notifies Ivan about Peter's reappearance.
