Description:

The three young gentlemen; James Chaney, Andrew Goodman, and Michael Schwerner were killed on June 21st, in Neshoba County, Mississippi. These men were activists and protesters that were captured and later murdered for their views. All three men were involved in the COFO, Council of Federated Organizations and the CORE, Congress of Racial Equality. These men were striving to register African Americans to vote in Mississippi, and this was their primary goal.
