Description:
The March on Washington was a massive protest march in which some 250,00 people gathered in front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. The political demonstration was meant to protest racial discrimination and to show support for major civil rights legislation that was pending in Congress. It was also the occasion of Martin Luther King Jr.'s iconic "I Have A Dream" speech.
