Description:
The Act was signed by president John F. Kennedy on June 10, 1963. The Act requires that men and women are given equal pay for for equal work in the same jobs. This act was 100 years in the making in 1870 congress passed a bill prohibiting discrimination bases on gender for federal jobs, but the bill was never really enforced.
