He writes the Aryabhatiya which covers most of his work at 499CE (he was 23yrs old). Most probably graduated from Nalanda University. His major achievements: Earth rotates on its axis - The apparent movement of stars is due to Earth’s rotation, Eclipse explanation - He correctly explained: Solar eclipses & Lunar eclipses Using: Shadows & Geometry, Approximation of π - He gave pi as 3.1416 (very close), Trigonometry - gave sine tables and trigonometric methods, He calculated: Planetary revolutions & Sidereal periods & Time cycles.
