mar 1, 1565 - Shulchan Aruch
Description:
The Shulchan Aruch, written by Rabbi Yosef Karo, was published in Venice in 1565 CE. It became the most influential practical code of Jewish law, especially after the Rama’s Ashkenazi glosses were added.
Its importance comes from becoming the standard reference point for halakhic practice across much of the Jewish world. Together with its commentaries, it shaped daily Jewish observance for Sephardic and Ashkenazi communities.
