dec 1, 2019 - Coronavirus
Description:
The Coronavirus pandemic, also known as COVID-19, began in late 2019 and quickly spread across the world, becoming one of the largest global health crises of the modern era. Countries closed borders, restricted travel, moved schools and work online, and used lockdowns and public health rules to slow the spread of the virus.
In Israel, the government responded with early travel restrictions, national lockdowns, mask rules, testing programs, and a major vaccination campaign. Israel became one of the first countries in the world to vaccinate a large percentage of its population, using digital health records and its national healthcare system to organize the rollout quickly. Although the pandemic caused major social and economic disruption, Israel’s fast vaccine campaign became one of the most closely watched COVID-19 responses in the world.
