Description:

Fred Shuttlesworth was involved a lot in the civil rights movement. He was the target of two bombs and a mob. When he and his wife attempted to get their children into an earlier all-white school. While doing this they got attacked by a mob of Klansmen. The mob beat Shuttlesworth with chains and stabbed his wife.
