sep 24, 1957 - Eisenhower sends in Federal Troops

Description:

In Little Rocks, Arkansas there was a violent surrounding around the schools because of the decision that black student should go to the same school together with the other kids. To restore the order President Eisenhower sent in 1,000 US. Army paratroopers. It worked and the African American kids got into the school system easier with guards walking by their side. Eisenhower still got a lot of criticism for not doing enough about the segregation.
