Description:
The Battle of Lexington and Concord marked the first battle of the American Revolution, where British forces were sent to dismantle colonial rebels, who resisted. The British troops were advancing to Lexington, a small town in proximity to Massachusetts, to take gunpowder from the colonists' military stores and capture rebel leaders, however the British never found the weapons, and they face a huge colonial army after the colonist's first defeat. Colonial messengers rode through cities warning of the approaching redcoats, but were not ready, and thus were defeated, however returned back and they won the battle as the Americans chased the British back to Boston, thus causing the British to fail in their mission. This war marked the beginning of the American Revolution.
